How to make mosquito repellent sachets?

Summer is the season when mosquitoes are rampant. Most people cannot avoid close contact with mosquitoes. Red bumps will appear after mosquito bites, accompanied by itching symptoms, which make people feel uncomfortable and affect their appearance. There are many mosquito repellent products on the market, such as mosquito coils, mosquito lamps, electric mosquito repellent liquids, etc. However, most of these mosquito repellent products contain chemical ingredients, which will affect physical health to some extent. However, the anti-mosquito sachets made of Chinese herbal medicine are very effective.

How to make mosquito repellent sachet

In fact, the method of making Chinese medicinal materials into sachets for mosquito repellent has a very long history. There are relevant records in "Prescriptions for Emergencies Worth a Thousand Gold" by Sun Siyi in the Tang Dynasty and "Compendium of Materia Medica" by Li Shizhen in the Ming Dynasty.

Chinese medicinal herbs such as cloves, mugwort, angelica dahurica, calamus, and mint are very effective in this regard. Although there are many mosquito repellent products on the market now, they all contain certain chemical ingredients to a certain extent, which can cause harm to the human body. Chinese herbal medicines are much greener and more environmentally friendly in this regard.

The production method of mosquito repellent sachets is relatively simple. Just grind specific Chinese medicinal materials into powder, put them into a cloth bag, and hang them at the door to repel mosquitoes well. If you are indoors, you can also open the sachet, take out the medicine and place it in the living room, study, bedroom, etc. If you are going on an outdoor picnic or hiking, you can also put the mosquito repellent in a sachet and carry it with you.

However, it should be noted that because Chinese herbal medicines contain certain aromatic substances and volatile oils, people with allergies and pregnant women should use them with caution.

"Everyone's physique is different, and their reactions to mosquito repellent sachets will also be different." Xu Yujie introduced that whether or not an allergic reaction will occur depends mainly on whether each person is allergic to a specific type of Chinese herbal medicine.

In addition, since many of the Chinese herbal ingredients in the sachet have a refreshing effect and can easily cause nervous excitement, you should avoid hanging the sachet on the bedside or in a mosquito net. Also, avoid direct contact between the sachet and the skin. Just hang it around your waist.
