What is the PSA index for prostate cancer? What are the symptoms of early prostate cancer?

Prostate cancer is a disease that occurs only in men and is very harmful to human health. In recent years, the mortality rate of prostate cancer has been increasing. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer is imminent, so how do you know if you have it? Prostate cancer, what are the indicators of prostate cancer? Next, let the editor give you a brief introduction.

1. There are no special signs and symptoms of early prostate cancer. It only relies on screening to find elevated serum pSA values and rectal examination to find abnormal changes in the prostate. If the patient's physical symptoms are generally advanced prostate cancer, if the prostate-specific antigen is usually less than 4, more than 10 is basically prostate cancer, and it must be actively treated.

2. Serum pSA is an indicator of prostate cancer heterogeneity and is very meaningful for the diagnosis of early asymptomatic prostate cancer. pSA is elevated in most prostate cancers and is also the most important early detection indicator for prostate cancer. Although pSA is the most commonly used method for detecting prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostatitis also have pSA-positive results. The only disadvantage is that one method detects free prostate-specific antigen.

3. In many prostate cancer patients, the vast majority of pSA is in a combined state, and the ratio of free pSA/total pSA is lower than that of normal or benign prostatic hyperplasia. Therefore, for men with abnormally elevated total pSA, free pSA is tested. By calculating the ratio of free pSA to total pSA, the specificity of prostate cancer screening and diagnosis can be improved, and the index of prostate cancer patients can be correctly obtained, so that patients do not delay the disease.

Symptoms of early prostate cancer patients are not obvious, but there will still be frequent urination, urgency, and the number of times to go to the toilet at night. It will be very painful when urinating, and the urine will last for a long time. It will become thinner. Relying on rectal examination, B-ultrasound, MRI or CT examination to determine whether you have prostate cancer cannot delay the disease and lead to more serious consequences.
