Symptoms of advanced prostate cancer bone metastasis

Symptoms that may occur after diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer with bone metastasis include:

1. Patients with urination difficulties or complete inability to urinate due to urethral obstruction by prostate cancer need to be given an indwelling catheter or suprapubic cystostomy to drain urine;

2. Macroscopic hematuria. When prostate cancer progresses further, it causes bleeding in the prostate and posterior urethra, which is mixed in the urine and appears as hematuria. Excessive bleeding can cause anemia or blood clots when urinating.

3. Pain symptoms. In the late stage, when bone metastasis occurs, pain may occur behind the pubic bone or in the perineum, accompanied by pain in the metastatic bone. Prostate cancer bone metastasis is mostly flat bone metastasis, such as ribs, vertebrae or skull, which will cause pain symptoms in the corresponding parts;

4. Late-stage prostate cancer with bone metastasis may cause pathological fractures. After bone metastasis occurs, the stress in the metastatic lesion is reduced after activity, resulting in fractures. If the patient suddenly experiences limb pain or difficulty in movement after activity, an X-ray examination is required to confirm the diagnosis.
