HPV52 positive, cervical cancer screening

HPV52 positive, cervical cancer screening

HPV, or human papillomavirus, is divided into high-risk and low-risk types. Among them, HPV52 is one of the 16 high-risk subtypes. Persistent infection can cause epithelial cell lesions in female reproductive organs and increase the risk of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and vaginal squamous cell carcinoma. If HPV52 is positive during cervical cancer screening, further TCT examination (liquid-based thin layer cell test) is required to determine whether there is cervical intraepithelial lesion or cervical cancer.

1. HPV52 positive only

If the TCT test result is negative, it means that only HPV52 virus infection exists, and no cervical intraepithelial lesions or cervical cancer have occurred. At this time, it is recommended that patients do not need to be too nervous, and can use interferon drugs such as Patelin and recombinant human interferon α2b gel under the guidance of a doctor. In addition, the virus can be eliminated through one's own resistance, and regular check-ups are sufficient.

2. Combined with other diseases

1. HPV52-positive high-grade lesions: When TCT examination indicates cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) grade II or above, appropriate treatment methods should be selected according to the specific type of CIN. For young women under 40 years old, physical therapy such as laser, freezing, and microwave are usually the first choice; for women over 40 years old who do not have fertility requirements, total hysterectomy is generally recommended for radical treatment.

2. HPV52-positive cervical cancer: Once diagnosed with cervical cancer, patients should go to the hospital as soon as possible and actively receive surgical treatment, including extrafascial total hysterectomy, extensive hysterectomy, and partial pelvic lymph node dissection. After surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other auxiliary means are also needed to control the progression of the disease and improve the patient's survival rate.

In daily life, such people should pay attention to personal hygiene, change and wash underwear frequently, and avoid unclean sex. In addition, they should also pay attention to proper exercise to strengthen their physical fitness, pay attention to balanced nutrition in diet, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and supplement vitamins to help prevent diseases.
