GC chemotherapy regimen for bladder cancer

Transitional cells are highly resistant to chemotherapy drugs, so in clinical applications, it is recommended to use preventive intravesical drug instillation for treatment. In recent years, gemcitabine has become a new drug for bladder instillation, and it is also a systemic therapeutic drug for bladder cancer. Drugs that can be intravesically instilled include thiotepa, mitomycin C, hydroxycamptothecin, doxorubicin, epirubicin, pyrarubicin, BCG, etc. These drugs can be used for regional instillation treatment of the bladder. Commonly used preparations include chemotherapeutic drugs and immunosuppressants.

Dietary considerations after bladder cancer surgery

Bladder cancer is generally treated with minimally invasive surgery, and postoperative chemotherapy drug infusion treatment usually uses cisplatin or piroxacin. In terms of diet, it is generally necessary to eat light, appetite-enhancing foods, avoid eating overly spicy and irritating foods, and avoid eating too greasy foods. Try to lower cholesterol, but these foods need to be rich in vitamins, so eat more fresh vegetables, and appropriately supplement some protein, such as soy milk, seafood, etc. Do not drink alcohol, and do not eat spicy foods such as chili peppers.

Symptoms of Bladder Cancer

The early symptoms of bladder cancer are generally not obvious. Most bladder cancer patients will have hematuria. When the tumor is necrotic or combined with inflammation, the patient may have symptoms such as difficulty urinating, urgency, pain during urination, hematuria, etc. Some patients may also experience lower abdominal mass, pain, hydronephrosis, weight loss, anemia, fatigue and other symptoms. Cystoscopy is the most reliable method for diagnosing bladder cancer. Once diagnosed, surgical treatment should be performed as soon as possible. These include transurethral resection of bladder cancer, intravesical chemotherapy, intravesical immunotherapy, partial cystectomy, urinary diversion, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other methods. The specific treatment method should be selected based on the patient's condition.
