External treatment of colorectal cancer with traditional Chinese medicine

Colorectal cancer has a high incidence rate in my country. Surgery, radiotherapy and other conventional treatments for colorectal cancer are used. Patients can also use external treatments of Chinese medicine as an auxiliary therapy, which can also achieve good results.

External application: This is the most commonly used method in clinical practice. It mainly involves boiling the appropriate Chinese medicine into a thick paste, or grinding it into powder and adding other ingredients to make a paste, and then applying it to the affected area. Most of them are Chinese medicines that promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, warm the meridians and dispel cold, and promote qi and relieve pain.

External application is mostly used to relieve pain in cancer patients. The paste or ointment is applied directly to the painful area. The active ingredients are quickly absorbed through the skin, mucous membranes, etc., and the analgesic effect is more obvious.

Prescription: 3 grams of frankincense, 3 grams of myrrh, 3 grams of dragon's blood, 3 grams of borneol, 3 grams of borax, 3 grams of indigo, 3 grams of human philtrum, 3 grams of gypsum, and 3 grams of alum.

Preparation: Grind the above medicines into fine powder, mix with sesame oil and vaseline, and apply appropriate amount to the affected area. If there is obvious pain and bleeding, add 3 grams of Panax notoginseng powder and 3 grams of Bletilla striata.

Efficacy: This prescription has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, eliminating carbuncle and dispersing nodules. It is mainly used for anastomotic infiltration, pain, bleeding and local recurrence after intestinal cancer surgery.

Enema method: Enema method is to inject effective Chinese medicine preparations directly into the intestine. The medicine acts directly on the lesion and can relieve the patient's local inflammation, pain, anal swelling and pain, etc. Patients with colorectal cancer with internal resistance of damp-heat can choose the following enema method.

Chinese medicine: 20 grams of raw rhubarb, 15 grams of cassia bark, 20 grams of phellodendron, 15 grams of honeysuckle, 15 grams of safflower, 30 grams of dandelion, and 15 grams of sophora flavescens.

Preparation: Add 800 ml of water to the above medicine and boil it until it reaches 200 ml. Insert the catheter through the anus with the help of a doctor and keep it for 1 to 2 hours after injecting the medicine. Take it once a day for 30 days as a course of treatment.
