How long can you live with chemotherapy for advanced cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is a common gynecological malignancy. The disease is typically manifested by symptoms such as contact vaginal bleeding and dyspareunia. Its pathological type is generally more common in squamous cell carcinoma. The cure rate of early cervical cancer is relatively high. After diagnosis, surgery is generally the first choice. The use of chemotherapy in the late stage of cervical cancer patients indicates that they have lost the opportunity for radiotherapy, or because of the general condition that is not suitable for surgery, there is no way to undergo radiotherapy. It is even possible that the opportunity for local tumor reduction radiotherapy and palliative radiotherapy for metastatic lesions has been missed, so chemotherapy alone is chosen. The treatment effect of cervical cancer mainly depends on the stage of the tumor.

Is cervical precancerous lesion cancer?

Cervical carcinoma in situ refers to the situation where the entire layer of the cervical squamous epithelium is covered by abnormal cells. Cervical precancerous lesions are not cancer, but a type of precancerous lesion that may develop into cancer. About 25% of patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia may develop into cervical malignant tumors between 10 and 15 years, but there are also many patients whose cervical intraepithelial neoplasia can spontaneously regress. Once cervical precancerous lesions are found, regular follow-up examinations and cervical cytology examinations are required to detect cancer tendencies early and treat them in time. If cervical precancerous lesions are found during cervical cancer screening or cervical or tissue examinations, they should be treated in a timely manner. Cervical precancerous lesions are not cervical cancer.
