Keratosis pilaris:

As the name suggests, keratosis pilaris is a disease caused by excessive keratinization of the pores.

Precautions for patients with keratosis pilaris in daily life:

1. When bathing, apply soap or shower gel containing exfoliating ingredients to the affected area and scrub gently with a bath brush to remove keratin plugs in the pores.

2. For those with mild symptoms,

After bathing, you should apply moisturizer or lotion containing fruit acid or exfoliating ingredients as soon as possible. In principle, it is not excessive to apply it six or seven times a day. However, pay special attention to the labels when choosing.

3. For those with more obvious symptoms, after bathing, use a cream containing urea and salicylic acid, apply it to the affected area, and scrub with a loofah for 5 seconds every day. If there is no irritation, increase the time by 5 seconds each week, up to a maximum of 20 seconds each time per day. When the papules are no longer obvious, the frequency of brushing can be reduced to once or twice a week, and a cream without salicylic acid can be used as a moisturizer instead.

4. Try not to squeeze these papules at will, so as not to accidentally cause inflammation and infection of the pores.

5. If the affected area does not show improvement or if symptoms of hair follicle inflammation such as itching and pain occur, you should seek treatment from a dermatologist.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of keratosis pilaris. When treating such diseases, we can choose the above methods. However, it should be noted that during the treatment of such diseases, patients should also pay attention to the above matters, which will have a good effect on improving their own diseases and protecting their skin.
