How to prevent occupational diseases

How to prevent occupational diseases

In life, many people suffer from occupational diseases, especially professionals such as police officers and doctors. Because they have been doing the same job for a long time, they form habits and treat people or things in the outside world as if they were working. If we want to prevent occupational diseases, we must learn to self-regulate, prevent toxic substances, and improve our body resistance.

(1) Production processes and protective facilities for harmful substances: Replacing toxic or highly toxic substances with non-toxic or low-toxic substances is a fundamental measure to prevent occupational diseases, but many industries are currently unable to do so; mechanization, automation, and pipeline production processes can reduce the chance of contact; harmful workshops are separated from harmless workshops, and the sources of harmful gases and dust are sealed and isolated to control harmful substances within a certain range as much as possible; industrial ventilation is used to discharge harmful substances in a timely manner and reduce the concentration of harmful substances in the workshop.

(2) Occupational health management measures: Carry out publicity and education to enhance the awareness of occupational disease prevention and control of all employees; strengthen the maintenance management of production equipment to prevent the escape, bubbling, dripping and leakage of toxic substances; formulate and strictly abide by safety and health operating procedures to prevent accidents; regularly test the concentration of toxic substances in the workshop air, promptly identify problems and solve them in a timely manner.

(3) Measures for workers: Wear necessary personal protective equipment and develop good hygiene habits to prevent poisons from entering the body; arrange work and rest time properly, pay attention to nutrition, and enhance the body's resistance to poisons; conduct regular physical examinations for workers exposed to toxic and harmful operations to promptly identify contraindications and early occupational health damage.
