How to care for oily skin

Generally speaking, dry skin is prone to dehydration, while oily skin is prone to acne. In terms of maintenance, dry skin is very easy to maintain, it just needs to be hydrated in time. It is relatively difficult to care for oily skin because if the oil control effect is not done well, the skin can easily become acne-prone due to the irritation of cosmetics. The more oil is controlled, the oilier the skin becomes. If you are younger, it is recommended not to use oil control.

Because oily skin will gradually turn into neutral with age, and younger people have more active endocrine system, it is not easy to take good care of oily skin. Generally, if your skin is oily after the age of 20, it is recommended to use the following methods for maintenance:

Thoroughly cleansing the skin every morning and evening is the key to oily skin care. Although cosmetics cannot change the secretion of androgen that causes excessive oil secretion, the use of cosmetics can reduce oil, shrink pores, and thus reduce the chance of acne.

Every morning, moisten your face with warm water at about 40 degrees, and then use water-soluble cleansing products, such as facial cleanser, soap, etc. to thoroughly remove grease and dirt on the skin surface. If necessary, you can use a face brush, then wash it again with cold water to constrict the facial blood vessels and reduce sebum secretion.

After washing your face, use astringent lotion to condition your skin to shrink the hair follicles that have expanded during the cleansing process, and finally apply a day cream suitable for neutral skin. In order to more thoroughly remove the oil, dead cells on the skin surface and dirt in the pores, you should use a neutral facial scrub to deep clean the skin 1 to 2 times a week. The scrub should be done in the morning. After scrubbing, be sure to apply a moisturizing day cream. If the sunlight is strong, also use sunscreen.

At night, cleanse your face in the same manner as you did in the morning.

Generally, if you want to take good care of oily skin, you need to wash your face more often. It is best to wash your face three times a day, once in the morning, noon and evening. In this way, the oil on your face will not accumulate too much and cause acne, blackheads, etc. In terms of diet, friends with oily skin should avoid eating too greasy and irritating foods. Fresh vegetables and fruits are the best choices.
