How to Get Rid of Fleas

How to Get Rid of Fleas

The summer is hot and the hot environment is the best time for the breeding of pathogenic microorganisms. We can also often see that if the food at home is not properly stored, a thin layer of mold will appear on the surface of the food after a short period of time. In fact, in addition to the rapid growth of pathogenic microorganisms, mosquitoes and fleas are also constantly multiplying, so we need to pay special attention to personal hygiene in the summer.

Yes, both mosquitoes and fleas are animals that we particularly hate. Especially fleas, they can parasitize on various animals, and also on inanimate objects such as towels, carpets, etc. And if we are bitten by fleas, some skin diseases will occur. So what should we do when we are bitten by fleas?

How to Get Rid of Fleas

1. Boil underwear and scald large clothes and mats with boiling water;

2. Insecticide (make sure to use pyrethroids, which are minimally toxic to warm-blooded animals but highly toxic to cold-blooded animals, so be careful not to spray or let it drift into the fish tank or onto the turtle), spray the bed board, dormitory floor, and corners;

3. The most critical step: 10% sulfur ointment, available in pharmacies, is very cheap at 50 cents for a 10g tube. Apply it evenly on your body and mat for several days. Don’t be afraid of getting your clothes dirty. The sulfur in sulfur ointment is harmless to humans and can only exert its maximum effect when it comes into contact with the surface of human skin. It tastes a bit bad, but after applying it, people will be immune to all poisons and it can basically kill all parasites on the body surface. I usually take a bath with sulfur soap.

4. Buy some hormone drugs, such as dexamethasone acetate, and apply them on the bitten area (note that sulfur is an oxidant and may react with dexamethasone acetate and make it ineffective, so you know what to do). Prevent you from scratching your skin involuntarily while sleeping, which may cause skin infection. This type of low-efficiency hormone is for external use and has a high safety factor. It can be used for two or three weeks without any problem. However, your bags will generally disappear in about three days.

The above is the correct approach when we find fleas and are bitten by fleas. From the above we can see that if we find the presence of fleas, we need to eliminate the fleas and also need to treat the wounds caused by flea bites in time. Of course, if the bite is too severe or you feel headache and weakness after the bite, you need to go to the hospital for treatment in time.
