The bandage should be tight, and the patient should lie prone or side-lying for 2 to 3 days after the operation and after the removal of the sutures to prevent urine and feces from soaking and contaminating the incision.

3. For occult spina bifida with long-term urinary disorders or nocturnal enuresis or persistent worsening neurological symptoms, appropriate surgical treatment should be given after careful examination. The goal of surgery is to remove the fibers and fatty tissue that are compressing the nerve roots.

4. For patients with complete paralysis of both lower limbs and incontinence at birth, or with myelomeningocele accompanied by obvious hydrocephalus, it is usually difficult to return to normal after surgery. It may even aggravate symptoms or cause other complications.
