Not everyone is a morning person. However, a well-planned, efficient morning will help you get through each day with ease. Keep your body and mind in a good environment, and the world will belong to you. Your day will only get better and better. Plan the night ahead If you want to start your day feeling relaxed and in control, then you have to do your homework. Plan what you want to accomplish tomorrow and design your breakfast menu before you go to bed. Taking 15 minutes to plan these things out in the evening can save you 30 minutes of crisis resolution the next morning (where are my keys? Is that shirt dirty?)...and that extra time allows you to focus on more important things. Replenish the right energy What you put into your body when you wake up sets the stage for the next 24 hours. Now is a great time to load up on high-quality protein (protein powder, eggs, Greek yogurt), good fats (avocado, olive oil), and carbs (whole-grain waffles, oatmeal). You have to eat these foods. Drink water When you sleep, your body loses water. You should drink some water after waking up. For example, mineral water or ZICO natural coconut water, which will keep you hydrated with five electrolytes: magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, and the same amount of potassium as a banana. Although ZICO doesn't taste sweet, it has a refreshing taste and contains enough sugar. Build a habit Following a planned routine can save you time and energy—and you won’t be confused about what to do next. If you know you have these to do the next morning: meditate/drink coffee/run/make a smoothie/shower/shave/brush/floss/iron… you can focus your mind and plan ahead. Self-reflection Does a morning meditation session sound…boring? Even just a few minutes of deep reflection can stimulate your brain, allowing you to clear your mind and focus. Set a timer for three minutes, and start. Focus on your breathing; when your attention wanders, regulating your breathing can bring your attention back. It's a very pleasant thing to give your busy mind a rest for three minutes. Plan your days now. Make your every day lively. |
