How to treat lower abdominal coldness

How to treat lower abdominal coldness

Although many people in their daily lives are careful not to eat cold drinks, they may catch a cold accidentally, resulting in stomach pain. They go to the hospital for examination but cannot find the cause. They feel it is a waste to just prescribe some medicine or give an IV, so they simply do not seek treatment. The coldness in the lower abdomen does need to be treated, but in addition to IVs or medicine, there are other methods, namely conditioning. Conditioning has no side effects on the body and does not require the pain of acupuncture.

Methods/Steps

If you have stomach pain, you must first determine the cause of the pain. You cannot attribute stomach pain caused by physical illness to catching a cold. Otherwise, delaying the treatment of the disease will have serious consequences. Stomach pain caused by cold is often in the navel and its surrounding area. The pain is often discontinuous, and the pain intensity fluctuates in irregular waves, that is, the pain is sometimes light and sometimes heavy. You can only treat a cold yourself, but you must see a doctor if your stomach pain is caused by pathological reasons.

Some people will suffer from diarrhea in addition to stomach pain after catching a cold. In this case, once the diarrhea is stopped, the stomach pain will naturally go away. If the stomach pain still occurs after the diarrhea is stopped, continue to take other methods to expel the wind. To stop diarrhea, you can go to a pharmacy and buy some medicine such as norfloxacin; you can also do it yourself. The specific method is to find a piece of fresh ginger, mash it into paste, and then use the ginger paste to mix with white wine and drink it. Please note that you need to use older ginger for better effects, and take it together with wine and ginger paste.

If you have a moxa device at home, you can use moxa sticks to massage your navel, which can also treat stomach pain caused by cold. Generally, moxa massage is only required once or twice, with each session lasting more than half an hour.

You can also cut a thick slice of ginger, then cover your navel with the ginger slice, put the burning mugwort on the ginger slice, and roast the navel for more than half an hour. Generally, roasting it once or twice can cure the stomach pain caused by cold and wind.

If you have stomachache caused by wind, you can also use silver to dispel wind and relieve pain. The specific method is: use onions, mugwort, ginger slices, etc. to add water to boil an egg in a shell. After the egg is cooked, take it out and carefully split it in half with a sharp knife (do not peel it), remove the yolk, and then sandwich the silver between the two halves of the egg white, wrap the egg with gauze or a towel, and then apply hot compress to the navel; after it cools down, soak it in mugwort and other medicinal materials and boil it in water, and apply hot compress repeatedly; open the cloth bag every ten minutes or so to see if the silver has turned black. If it has turned black, polish it and apply hot compress again, and continue to apply it until the silver no longer turns black, which means that the wind has been completely driven away and the stomachache will be cured.

You can also use garlic and ginger paste for hot compresses to dispel wind and relieve pain. This method is suitable for cases where the wind-cold is not severe. The specific method is: mash some ginger and garlic paste in a ratio of 1:1, mix them evenly, wrap them in gauze or a towel, then heat them over fire, and apply them to your navel. When it cools down, heat them again and continue to apply hot compress for about half an hour. Generally, one or two applications are sufficient.
