Who are the suitable groups for orthodontic treatment?

Many of our friends have uneven teeth, which not only has a great impact on our psychology, but also seriously undermines our self-esteem. However, friends whose teeth are not very straight do not need to worry too much. Now with the development of medical technology, dental correction technology has also made great progress. So, who are the people who are suitable for dental correction?

What are the common malocclusions (crooked teeth)? The importance of teeth has gradually become prominent. People are paying more and more attention to health and image issues. Experts will introduce to you the common malocclusions.

(1) Malalignment of teeth - crowding and dislocation

This is the most common type of deformity, characterized by uneven teeth arrangement and teeth that are protruding inside and out. The most obvious example is what ordinary people usually call "tiger teeth".

(2) Lower pocket teeth - crossbite

The lower overbite is figuratively called "underbite" by the people. It means that the lower front teeth are covered by the upper front teeth, and the chin is more prominent. When viewed from the side of the body, the face appears to be a sunken "crescent shape". For some children, an underbite may become more pronounced as they grow.

(3) Protruding teeth - deep overbite

This type of deformity is characterized by the upper front teeth protruding and curling outwards, and in more obvious cases, the lips cannot close naturally. In severe cases, the lower front teeth bite the gums inside the upper teeth, and the face looks like a "bird-shaped face" when viewed from the side.

4) Deep bite and underbite

A deep bite is medically known as an overbite, which is characterized by the upper front teeth covering too much of the lower front teeth. In severe cases, the lower teeth are completely covered by the upper teeth and cannot be seen from the front. Misalignment is medically known as open bite, which occurs when the back teeth bite together but the front teeth still do not touch, resulting in a gap between the upper and lower teeth.

(5) Gap between teeth

In normal dentition, the teeth are placed close together with no spaces between them. But some people have noticeable or large gaps between their teeth.

The above are some issues about tooth deformities. You cannot eat spicy and greasy food within a short period of time after the operation. Especially in winter, you need to pay special attention. Eating spicy and greasy food can easily cause inflammation. Don’t do the operation blindly. Go to a regular and authoritative hospital for surgery, so that it will be safe.
