What is the reason for back pain?

Back pain is a very common symptom clinically. There are many reasons for back pain. Some dull pain in the back is a serious disease and needs to be taken seriously. However, not all back pain is a serious disease. It needs to be determined based on the condition of the disease. If the dull pain in the back is more serious, it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up. After finding out the cause, treat the disease accordingly.

What causes back pain?

Back pain may be caused by cholecystitis or other diseases. It is best to find out the cause and treat it accordingly.

Symptoms of cholecystitis

The earliest symptom of acute cholecystitis is pain, and the pain usually occurs after eating high-fat food, and mostly occurs at night. Most of the reasons are overeating or eating too much high-fat food the night before, which leads to severe pain in the right upper abdomen and slowly radiates to the right shoulder.

Chronic cholecystitis may sometimes be asymptomatic during remission, or only have mild indigestion symptoms. If indigestion symptoms worsen after eating high-fat or greasy foods and dull pain or discomfort occurs in the right upper abdomen, you should suspect the possibility of cholecystitis.

Clinical manifestations of cholecystitis

1. Abdominal pain

About 85% of patients with acute cholecystitis have right upper abdominal pain as the main symptom. The abdominal pain is mostly persistent, may worsen in paroxysmal forms, and radiate to the right shoulder and back. The abdominal pain of chronic cholecystitis is often recurrent, mostly dull pain and bloating.

2. Fever

The fever of acute cholecystitis is generally between 38 and 39 degrees Celsius, and there is usually no chills.

3. Nausea and vomiting

Acute cholecystitis is the most common.

4. Symptoms of indigestion such as abdominal distension, belching and aversion to greasy food

It can occur in patients with both acute and chronic cholecystitis, but is more common in chronic cholecystitis.

5. Jaundice

About 10% of patients with acute cholecystitis may experience mild jaundice, which may be caused by spasm of the lower sphincter of the common bile duct or spread of infection to the biliary system.

Causes of cholecystitis

1. Bad living habits

Some patients do not pay attention to dietary nutrition and physical exercise in their daily lives, which leads to low body resistance and immunity, making it easy for infection to occur. If the infection reaches the gallbladder, cholecystitis will develop.

2. Infection factors

The invasion of bacteria from systemic infection or local lesions through the blood, lymph, bile duct, intestines, or the spread of inflammation in adjacent organs. The invasion of parasites and the bacteria they bring in are all important causes of cholecystitis.
