The relationship between protein, fat and sugar

Nutrients are essential for the human body, and they are generally obtained from food. Among them, protein, fat and sugar are the main targets. These three nutrients are in the highest demand and need to be taken from food almost every day. Moreover, there is a certain relationship between these three substances. Let’s take a look at the relationship between protein, fat and sugar. I hope everyone can understand it.

The three major energy sources for the human body are sugar, fat and protein. When the human body is exercising, it needs to consume energy, and the source of this energy is the conversion of sugar, fat and protein. During an exercise, the first thing involved in energy supply is carbohydrates. Once the carbohydrates are consumed to a certain level, fat will become involved. As time goes on, protein will also become involved.

1. Sugar conversion relationship

Carbohydrates can be converted into fats and certain amino acids (proteins exist in the form of amino acids after metabolism). So, from this perspective, if you want to reduce the amount of fat stored, then you should supplement your body with as little carbohydrates as possible.

2. Fat conversion relationship

Fat can be converted into sugar, but not into protein. In other words, if you want to lose fat, you need to convert the fat into carbohydrates as much as possible and use the carbohydrates to provide energy for exercise. That is what we usually say, why do we need to do long-term aerobic exercise to lose weight. It is to oxidize fat to provide energy and convert it into glycogen.

3. Protein conversion relationship

Protein is the main component of human tissue and the final energy source. In other words, fat is mobilized when a certain level of carbohydrate is consumed, and protein is mobilized when a certain level of fat is consumed. Protein can be converted into glycogen and fat, which is something you need to pay attention to. In other words, if you consume a lot of protein, you will gain fat. So, the more protein you eat, the faster your muscles grow. If you don't exercise and activate the muscle synthesis process, the supplemented protein will most likely be converted directly into fat instead of muscle. This is why everyone says: You can’t build muscle by eating. Only by eating well and exercising can you have strong muscles.
