Why does my back always hurt?

Why does my back always hurt?

In daily life, most people have had this experience: after a day's work, they not only feel very tired, but sometimes also have back pain. However, there are many reasons for back pain. Since everyone's physical condition is different, the causes of back pain are also different. If back pain occurs frequently, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and active treatment.

Why do I always have back pain?

Back pain caused by cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis occurs in the human cervical spine. How does it cause back pain? In fact, the posterior branches of the spinal nerves of the fourth, fifth, and sixth cervical vertebrae extend to the back and control the skin and muscles of the human back.

When degenerative changes occur in the cervical spine, if the posterior branches of the spinal nerves of the fourth, fifth, and sixth cervical vertebrae are pulled, back pain will occur. In fact, neck and back pain, upper limb weakness, numbness of fingers, dizziness, nausea, and even blurred vision and difficulty swallowing are all symptoms of cervical spondylosis.

Back pain caused by frozen shoulder

Scapulohumeral periarthritis can cause shoulder pain. As the disease progresses, the pain range will continue to increase, and some patients will experience back pain.

Back pain caused by ankylosing spondylitis

Patients with ankylosing spondylitis will experience chronic generalized or persistent low back pain, tenderness over the spinous processes, stiffness in the back and waist after waking up in the morning, aggravated pain in the back and waist when leaning back, improvement after activity, and easy fatigue after standing or walking for a long time.

Most patients will have limited movement of the lower back and waist, and physical examinations will reveal tenderness of the lumbar spinous process. In the later stages, muscle atrophy and hunchback deformity may occur.

Back pain caused by respiratory system

Many respiratory diseases such as pleural adhesions, lung cancer and tuberculosis may also cause shoulder and back pain, but usually in the back, sides or shoulder blades.

Referred pain from visceral disease

Gynecological pelvic diseases, prostate diseases, etc. can cause lower back pain. Kidney diseases such as stones, myomas, renal ptosis, pyelonephritis and retroperitoneal diseases such as abscesses and hematomas can cause low back pain. Hepatofemoral and heart diseases can cause back pain.

What to do if you have back pain

Relax in the bath

Taking a relaxing bath in warm water regularly can relieve the stress of daytime work. Give your back and whole body a rest.

Back massage

Massage can promote blood circulation and stimulate acupuncture points. Generally, use your thumb to press the area on the back of the neck parallel to one finger above the shoulder, or find the pain point and massage it yourself. Friends who have the conditions can also go to a professional store for care.

Yoga for back pain relief

Yoga can not only calm the mind and lose weight, but also relieve back pain due to the stretching movements. If you do yoga at least once a week for 40-90 minutes each time for three months, your back pain will improve.

The effects of yoga are good and healthy, far better than taking medicine or physical therapy. Stretching is just as effective as yoga for treating back pain, but the main areas of the body that are worked are the torso and legs.
