Why do we need to check the clavicular lymph nodes for breast cancer

The purpose of checking the clavicular lymph nodes for breast cancer is to find out whether the cancer cells have metastasized to the clavicular lymph nodes. When the disease has metastasized to the clavicular lymph nodes, the cancer is already in the middle and late stages and radiotherapy of the clavicular lymph nodes is needed to improve the condition. Some patients may have physical symptoms such as swelling and distension of the upper limbs or pain in the shoulders and back, and some may also have symptoms such as anemia. Regular examinations should be conducted and treatment should be actively carried out to control the disease as much as possible and slow down the development of cancer cells. Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and Chinese medicine can be used for auxiliary treatment. You must relax at ordinary times and don't be too nervous or afraid.

What are the symptoms of advanced breast cancer?

Breast cancer is a malignant tumor of the breast. The early symptoms are not obvious, mostly painless breast masses. In the middle and late stages, it will manifest as painful breast masses, nipple retraction, local orange peel-like changes in the breast, bloody nipple discharge, etc., and some tumors will metastasize. If metastasis symptoms appear, it is necessary to seek medical attention in time, and the diagnosis can be confirmed through breast B-ultrasound, CT, mammography, MRI and other items. For those who are difficult to diagnose, biopsy puncture examination can be performed, and the diagnosis can be made through pathological examination of the lesion tissue.

What is breast cancer self-examination?

Breast cancer is more common in clinic. If you do self-examination, you can sometimes find the lesion early and receive early treatment. When you do self-examination, you should first observe whether there are any changes in the appearance of the breast, such as whether the nipple is inverted, whether the skin is edematous, etc. For palpation, you should generally use the fingertips to palpate, from the outer upper quadrant to the outer lower quadrant, to the inner lower quadrant to the inner upper quadrant, and check the nipple all the way. Check whether there is a lump in the breast, whether the lump is hard, and how active it is. If you find any, go to the hospital in time.
