What should I pay attention to when I have sinusitis cysts

If cysts appear in sinusitis, it means the situation is serious and requires timely acute treatment, otherwise the affected area will become ulcerated. The treatment of sinusitis takes a relatively long time. Because the disease is prone to recurrence, more attention should be paid to daily matters.

1. Correct the wrong habit and method of blowing your nose

Patients with chronic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis usually blow their noses. When the mucus is thick and difficult to blow out, patients tend to blow it hard, which may cause suppurative otitis media. Therefore, do not blow your nose too hard. If you can't blow it out in one go, blow it a few more times.

2. Active treatment of nasal polyps is an important measure to prevent sinusitis

If a patient with sinusitis also has nasal polyps or a deviated nasal septum, sinusitis with nasal polyps has been listed as a separate type of sinusitis. Therefore, active treatment of nasal polyps is an important measure to prevent sinusitis. The best treatment method is endoscopic low-temperature plasma ablation.

3. Strengthen your body and prevent colds

People with chronic sinusitis and chronic rhinitis have all experienced this: when they catch a cold, their symptoms are often much more severe than those of people without rhinitis. This is because colds can aggravate rhinitis and sinusitis. Patients with sinusitis and rhinitis have weaker resistance to colds, so they are more likely to catch colds than healthy people, forming a vicious cycle.

To effectively prevent colds, you should exercise more, improve your physical fitness and enhance your own resistance, such as swimming, running, playing ball, etc. In addition, washing your face with cold water can also enhance your immunity.

4. Do not abuse drugs such as vasoconstrictors

There are many types of nasal vasoconstrictors, but patients with chronic rhinitis and sinusitis should not use them for a long time or should avoid using them. Because vasoconstrictors can shrink the nasal mucosa and nasal tubes, the space in the nasal cavity can be expanded, so the nose becomes temporarily unobstructed, but after a few hours the nose becomes blocked again, and the blockage is even more severe. If used repeatedly over a long period of time, a vicious cycle will be formed, which will eventually lead to nasal vasomotor dysfunction and degeneration of olfactory nerve endings. The more you drip, the more severe your nasal congestion and your sense of smell will become, eventually forming physical rhinitis, which makes treatment difficult.
