In fact, there are four exercise methods for lumbar disc herniation in daily life. The simplest one is the supine bicycle method. Patients with lumbar disc herniation may wish to follow this exercise.

1. Simple methods of exercise for lumbar disc herniation

Supine bicycle exercise, the patient lies on his back on the bed with his legs like pedaling a bicycle; sit-ups, once in the morning and evening, twenty times are best; swimming, pay attention to correct posture and appropriate time; backward walking, exercise for forty to sixty minutes a day; pull-ups.

2. The waist sinking method for lumbar disc herniation exercise

1. Prone waist sinking method: This method can narrow the gap at the posterior edge of the lumbar vertebrae, and then push the protruding bone marrow nucleus into the intervertebral disc space. Prepare six pillows, place three on the patient's chest and three on the thighs, and keep the waist naturally sunken. Do this for ten to fifteen minutes. 2. Supine sinking waist method: With this method, the gap at the posterior edge of the lumbar vertebra becomes larger, and then the protruding nucleus is pushed into the cervical disc space using the traction of the ligaments. Also prepare six pillows, with the patient using three as pillows and the other three placed on the patient's buttocks and coccyx. Bend both knees, hold both hands in front of the chest, and let the waist sink naturally. Note that these two methods can be done alternately at least twice a day, but this method is not suitable for elderly patients with high blood pressure or heart disease.

3. Arching waist method for lumbar disc herniation exercise

Keep your legs together, arch your waist and hips forward, squeeze them together, and pull them back.

4. Pushing and kneading method for lumbar disc herniation

Massage the muscles on both sides of the lumbar spine, then apply active oil to relax the muscles on both sides of the lumbar spine.
