Hidradenitis suppurativa, four methods can solve it

Hidradenitis suppurativa is mainly caused by severe hidradenitis. The general lesions are around the external genitalia and anus. The incidence rate is relatively high in middle-aged women and young people. There are many causes of this disease. How to treat hidradenitis suppurativa is people's primary concern.

1. General treatment

Keep the local skin dry and clean, and avoid irritation such as friction and scratching.

2. Systemic therapy

Early acute damage can be treated effectively with a short course of antibiotics, such as daily tetracycline or minocycline for 10 days. For refractory patients, longer-term antibiotic treatment may be used.

Corticosteroids such as prednisone are given for one week. Intralesional injection of glucocorticoids may be effective for a short period of time. For patients with severe hidradenitis that is resistant to antibiotics and glucocorticoids and is not suitable for surgical resection, Ebling found that the use of chloramphenicol acetate as a testosterone antagonist for 2 to 3 months completely eliminated the lesions. Isotretinoin, used for 4 to 6 months, can provide relief and improvement in about 1/4 of patients.

3. Local treatment

The local area should be kept clean and hygienic. You can use 0.1% ethacridine solution, 0.5% neomycin solution or purslane decoction to clean the affected area 2 or 3 times a day. Generally, try not to make an incision for drainage. However, for mature abscesses, an incision can be made to drain the pus. In addition, superficial X-ray radiation therapy may be used. For cases of stubborn and recurrent disease, extensive surgery can be performed to remove the skin and subcutaneous tissue at the site of the disease, followed by skin grafting. However, surgery is not recommended in the groin and inframammary folds.

4. Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment

During the acute attack period, the main focus is on clearing heat and detoxifying.
