What to do if you have a sore throat

A sore throat and inflammation is indeed a very uncomfortable thing. Therefore, in order to relieve and reduce the impact of these problems more quickly, you should pay attention to scientific methods. You can drink honeysuckle and olive tea, or lily and fritillaria tea, which are very effective.

1. Lily and Fritillaria Tea

Symptoms: When you are allergic, your throat may become itchy and you may have a dry cough, causing congestion and inflammation in your throat. Ingredients: 10 grams each of lily, Fritillaria powder and Adenophora. Efficacy: Lily can enhance immune function; Adenophora can reduce dry throat and allergy symptoms. Method: Add the ingredients to 600 ml of boiling water and simmer for 5 minutes before drinking. Note: Adenophora is a cool herb and should not be used by patients with poor gastrointestinal function or colds caused by colds.

2. Honeysuckle Olive Tea

Symptoms: Cold with redness, swelling, inflammation and pain in the throat. Ingredients: 10 grams of honeysuckle, 5 grams of mint, and 5 olives. Efficacy: Honeysuckle is antiviral; olive relieves pain; mint dispels wind, clears heat and reduces inflammation. Preparation: Add 600 ml of water to the honeysuckle and olives and bring to a boil. Then add the mint and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. Remove the residue and drink. Note: Honeysuckle and mint are cool herbs. People with cold limbs should stop using them if they experience diarrhea after drinking them.

3. Ophiopogon japonicus and white fungus tea

Symptoms: Addiction to smoking, drinking or spicy food can irritate the throat mucosa, causing damage to the mucosa and pain. Ingredients: 10g each of Ophiopogon japonicus and Scrophularia ningpoensis, 5g of White Fungus. Efficacy: Nourishes yin and reduces heat; White fungus is rich in plant gum, which can moisturize damaged mucosa. Method: Add the ingredients to 600 ml of boiling water, simmer for 10 minutes and then drink. Note: Ophiopogon japonicus and Scrophularia ningpoensis are cool herbs that have the effect of softening the stool. They are not suitable for people with poor gastrointestinal function or diarrhea symptoms.

4. Sterculia lychnophora tea

Symptoms: Excessive use of the vocal cords, such as talking for too long or yelling, can easily cause inflammation, edema and pain in the throat. Ingredients: 6 grams of Sterculia lychnophora, 2 to 3 slices of licorice. Efficacy: Plantago ovata can soothe the throat and has anti-inflammatory and swelling effects; licorice can clear away heat, detoxify, and relieve pain. Method: Add the ingredients to 600 ml of boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes before drinking. Note: Plantago ovata has a laxative effect and should not be consumed by people with diarrhea symptoms.
