What are the folk remedies for treating facial paralysis

Facial paralysis can be said to be a motor dysfunction, which mainly manifests itself on the face. It is a common disease in clinical practice. In addition to conventional treatments, there are also many folk remedies for treating facial paralysis. In addition to drug therapy, massage and acupuncture can also have a certain effect on the treatment of facial paralysis.

1. Soak your feet in hot water and massage your feet every night before going to bed to improve your sleep quality. Do moderate exercise every day and maintain a good mood. Do more facial movements, such as closing your eyes, pursing your lips, opening your mouth wide, etc., to exercise your facial muscles. Remember not to wash your face with cold water to avoid aggravating the condition.

2. Take 3-5 grains of croton seeds, grind them into fine foam and pour them into a glass bottle. Add 55% alcohol and stew it until hot. Place the Laogong acupoint (the palm of your hand) on the mouth of the bottle and fumigate for 1-2 hours. This can be done once a day. It has the effects of promoting blood circulation and unblocking meridians, and the therapeutic effect varies from person to person.

3. Local care: hot compress to dispel wind: apply ginger powder to the paralyzed side for 1/2 hour a day; apply warm and wet towel to the face for 2-3 times a day, and massage the affected side by yourself in the morning and evening. The strength should be appropriate and the location should be accurate. As long as the muscles on the affected side can move, you can do the actions of wrinkling your forehead, closing your eyes, whistling, showing teeth, etc. in front of the mirror by yourself. Do each action for 2 or 4 eight beats, 2-3 times a day. This is very important to prevent the atrophy of paralyzed muscles and promote recovery.

4. If you find facial paralysis, go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible. The longer you delay, the more difficult it will be to cure. You can try folk remedies for facial paralysis, but they cannot be used as the only treatment. The main thing is to go to a regular hospital for treatment. The hospital has acupuncture, medicine, and doctors with rich clinical experience, which is reliable and safe. In addition to treatment, you can also do rehabilitation care in your spare time. Apply a hot towel to the affected area, or pout your lips, whistle, smile, and stretch your facial muscles for ten minutes to enhance the effect of facial paralysis treatment.
