Desensitization treatment for chronic urticaria, identify the allergens and then treat

Chronic urticaria can cause great pain to patients. The itching phenomenon is obvious when urticaria occurs. The common cause of urticaria is food allergy, so desensitization treatment is very effective. Do not eat foods that are prone to allergies, such as seafood, mangoes, etc.

1. Desensitization treatment of chronic urticaria

1. Allergy test

Allergy tests should be conducted before desensitization treatment. Dilutions of common allergens can be used with allergen content of approximately 1:100 for the inhalation group and 1:10 for the ingestion group. After routine disinfection, 0.1 ml is injected intradermally on both forearms or backs of the patient according to the number, and 0.1 ml of physiological water is injected on the other side. Observe the results after 30 minutes and compare the two sides. Generally, a positive reaction is defined as a erythema diameter greater than 0.5 cm or with obvious infiltration, and the intensity is graded.

2. Desensitization treatment

After an allergy test, if a person has a positive reaction to more than one allergen, he or she can receive timely treatment, and the treatment is relatively convenient. If the patient undergoes desensitization treatment, the precautions should be explained to the patient in detail before the treatment, and a desensitization treatment instruction sheet should be given. For patients who have hospitals or clinics near their homes, they can take their medicines home on time for nearby treatment.

3. Desensitization method

For the first time, 0.1 ml of 1:106 allergen dilution is injected subcutaneously, twice a week, increasing by 0.1 ml each time. After 10 times, change to a higher concentration of dilution, and finally to 1:10. This concentration is the general maintenance solution. Start with 2 times/week and gradually decrease to once a month. Finally, stop treatment and observe. Use antihistamines at the beginning of treatment to enhance the therapeutic effect.

2. Chronic urticaria should not eat the following foods:

1. Foods that may easily cause allergies. Such as food protein, preservatives, seasonings, color additives, etc. These types of food include: fish, shrimp, crab, shellfish, chicken, duck, goose, pork, beef, horse meat, dog meat, rabbit meat, bamboo shoots, garlic sprouts, spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, lemons, mangoes, plums, apricots, strawberries, fruit wine, wine, rice wine, white wine, etc. and eggs, milk, chocolate, cheese, etc.

2. Foods that cause hair growth. The so-called "irritating foods" refer to foods that stir up wind and cause disease, produce poison, aid fire and evil, and are likely to induce old diseases and aggravate new ones. Common irritating foods include meat, such as pork head, eggs, beef, mutton, dog meat, and goose meat; seafood, such as fish, shrimp, crab, etc.; vegetables, such as leeks, bamboo shoots, spinach, mushrooms, etc.; fruits, such as mangoes, bayberries, and lychees; and condiments, such as onions, ginger, garlic, and peppers.

3. Food additives. Care should be taken to avoid artificial colors, preservatives, yeast and other ingredients contained in foods such as biscuits, soda, cold drinks, candy, cakes, bread and beer. If conditions permit, you can go to the hospital for an allergy test to find out which foods your child is allergic to or should not eat.

In addition to paying attention to these dietary taboos, parents also need to urge their children to develop good eating habits, eat at regular times and in regular amounts, not overeat or be picky about food, and not be greedy and eat forbidden foods, so as not to aggravate the condition.
