Standing is a very important posture in our daily life. A person's character can be seen from his standing posture. Standing posture is the most basic etiquette in daily communication. As the saying goes, there is a way to stand and a way to sit. If a person does not sit or stand properly, his character and personality can be judged from this. Standing posture represents personal connotation in our lives. What are the basic requirements for standing posture?

The correct standing posture is: raise your head, straighten your neck, slightly retract your chin, slightly close your lips, look straight ahead with a smile on your face; relax your shoulders, press the air down, feel your body is upward, and breathe naturally; straighten your chest, tighten your abdomen, straighten your waist, and keep your shoulders level; relax your arms and let them hang naturally at your sides, with your palms facing forward and your fingers naturally bent; stand straight with your legs together, lift your hips, keep your knees and heels close together, and spread your toes to form a "straight" posture.

V" shape, with the body weight evenly distributed on both legs. This is the basic standing posture. On this basis, you can also make some adjustments, such as separating the two feet parallel and slightly narrower than the shoulders; or putting the left foot forward and leaning against the inside of the right foot, standing in a T-step; you can put your right hand on your left hand and place it on your abdomen or buttocks; or hang one hand on the side of the body and the other hand on the upper abdomen or buttocks. When standing, you should not put your hands on your waist, hold them in front of your chest or put them in your pockets, and you should not lean your neck, bend your waist, or lean to the left or right. To train your standing posture, you can stand against the wall indoors, with your heels, calves, buttocks, shoulders, and the back of your head close to the wall. Keep doing this for about 15 minutes each time and develop a habit; you can also practice standing with a smile in an outdoor square or a crowded place beside the road, which makes it easier to cultivate people's qualities in many aspects. A correct and graceful standing posture will give people the impression of being upright, stretched and handsome, dignified and generous, kind and polite, and energetic.

There are several etiquette standing postures for ladies

(I) Requirements for standard standing posture

(1) When standing, keep your head straight, chin slightly retracted, neck straight, shoulders together and slightly stretched back, and shoulders hanging naturally.

(2) When standing, keep your chest up, abdomen in, waist straight, and hips squeezed to push forward.

(3) In formal social situations, let your arms hang naturally at your sides, with your five fingers together and slightly bent, and your middle fingers pressing against your trouser seams. Alternatively, clasp your hands in front of your body, with your right hand on top of your left hand, and place them in front of your abdomen. In informal social situations, you can also put your hands behind your back. (4) When standing, keep your legs straight, knees together, heels close together, and feet in a "V" shape.

(5) When standing, stand upright. Viewed from the front, the body's center of gravity should be between the legs, passing through the spine and head. Be careful not to let the center of gravity deviate to the left or right. The body weight is evenly distributed on the two forefoots.

(6) When standing, your expression should be natural, your eyes should be looking straight ahead, looking around, your mouth should be slightly closed, and you should have a smile on your face.

(II) Several standing postures

(1) Standard standing posture. You should stand upright with your arms at your sides, your legs naturally together, your knees close together, your heels together, and your feet in a "V" shape.

(2) Stand up straight, clasp your hands in front of your body, with your left hand on top of your right hand, in front of your abdomen. Keep your legs together naturally, your knees close together, your heels together, and your feet in a "V" shape. In addition, women's feet can be in a "T" shape.

(3) Stand up straight with your hands behind your back and your legs apart. The distance between your feet should be slightly narrower than shoulder width. This stance is suitable for men.

The above-mentioned standing postures are only basic. The standing postures in various occasions in daily life do not need to be so rigid. For example, when waiting for someone or a bus, the positions of the two feet can be one in front and the other behind, maintaining a 45-degree angle. At this time, the muscles are relaxed and natural, but the body remains straight.

The standing posture should be graceful and natural. No matter what posture you take, only the posture and angle of your feet and the position of your hands should change, while your body should remain upright.

(III) Taboos of standing posture

(1) Bad standing behavior When standing, avoid leaning to one side, slouching, or lazily leaning against a wall or table;

(2) Do not lower your head, tilt your neck, hunch your chest, or hunch your back;

(3) Do not shift your body's center of gravity significantly to one side and support your body with only one leg;

(4) Do not make small movements subconsciously, such as shaking your legs involuntarily, or fiddling with your hair, handkerchief, lighter, pen, etc. with your hands.

(5) In formal occasions, do not put your hands in your trouser pockets, cross your arms in front of your chest, or put your hands on your hips.
