How to treat lumbar supraspinal ligament injury

Lumbar supraspinous ligament injury is a common lumbar disease. This disease is directly related to excessive exercise and often occurs in athletes. This disease requires long-term treatment and rehabilitation to gradually improve. Therefore, the harmfulness of this lumbar disease cannot be underestimated. So, how to treat lumbar supraspinous ligament injury?

Long-term tension in the muscles of the back and long-term tension in the ligaments can easily cause tearing, bleeding and exudation. If your ligaments are already damaged, you will be more susceptible to injury. This will cause inflammation and irritate the nerves in the back. Over time, the ligaments may calcify, making them more difficult to heal.

Treatment: This disease generally does not require surgical treatment, but due to its characteristics it cannot heal quickly and requires the spine to be fixed, which is very troublesome. Therefore, several treatment options are summarized below to quickly perform rehabilitation treatment for lumbar supraspinous ligament injuries.

1. If the ligament is injured, you must avoid bending backward. It is best to use tools to help fix it. This is very important. During the recovery of the ligament, you need to exercise less and rest for a long time to allow the injured ligament to relax and gradually heal itself.

2. Injecting some glucocorticoids can relieve pain, prevent aseptic inflammation, and reduce complications, but hormones cannot be injected excessively, otherwise it is easy to cause greater side effects, such as obesity.

3. You can try some physical therapies, such as massage. Although it may not help essentially, it can relieve the patient's pain and muscle spasms, and has a more obvious effect on ligament recovery.

4. If non-surgical treatment is ineffective, artificial aponeurosis repair is still required, but the effect is not particularly certain.
