Endometrial cancer is a group of epithelial malignant tumors that occur in the endometrium and are more common in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. Endometrial cancer is one of the most common tumors of the female reproductive system, with nearly 200,000 new cases each year, and is the third most common gynecological malignant tumor leading to death (after ovarian cancer and cervical cancer). Its incidence is closely related to lifestyle, and the incidence rate varies in different regions. In North America and Europe, its incidence rate is second only to breast cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer, ranking first among female reproductive system cancers. In my country, with the development of society and the improvement of economic conditions, the incidence of endometrial cancer has also increased year by year. It is currently second only to cervical cancer in female reproductive system malignant tumors. Surgical treatment of endometrial cancer costs about 30,000 yuan, and different hospitals charge different fees. Whether chemotherapy or radiotherapy is needed depends on the pathological results of the surgery. Clinically, endometrial cancer usually spreads outside the uterus and is confined to the pelvic cavity (the vagina and parauterine tissues may be affected, but the bladder and rectum are not affected). The tumor spreads in the pelvic cavity and affects the bladder or rectum (the mucosa is obviously affected), or there is dissemination outside the pelvic cavity. The cause of endometrial cancer is still unclear. It is generally believed that endometrial cancer can be divided into estrogen-dependent (type I) and estrogen-independent (type II) according to its pathogenesis and biological behavior characteristics. The vast majority of estrogen-dependent endometrial cancers are endometrioid carcinomas, and a small number are mucinous adenocarcinomas; estrogen-independent endometrial cancers include serous carcinomas, clear cell carcinomas, etc. Since each hospital adopts different treatment methods, the cost will also be different. Here experts remind that choosing a regular tertiary hospital is the shortcut for patients to reduce costs. |
