What's wrong with the red spots at the urethra?

Red spots on the urethral opening are a condition that many men and women experience in daily life. Its appearance often makes people wonder whether it is caused by reproductive diseases and whether it will affect future reproduction. In fact, the red spots on the urethral opening are caused by urethritis. At this time, you must treat it in time to avoid delaying the disease due to momentary negligence and causing more serious harm to the body.

1. Causes of red spots at the urethral opening

Red spots at the urethral opening are one of the symptoms of urethritis. Urethritis is divided into acute urethritis and chronic urethritis. The symptoms of different types of urethritis are different. In the acute phase, the urethral opening is red and swollen, and there is urethral secretion, which is mucous at first and then turns to purulent. Men experience burning pain in the urethra when urinating, frequent urination, urgency, intermittent pain in the suprapubic area and perineum, and pain when pressing the urethra. When urethritis enters the chronic stage, the symptoms are alleviated, the urethral secretions are reduced and become a thin serous state, but there is a stinging sensation in the urethra or discomfort when urinating.

2. What is the reason for the red spots on the urethra? Experts say that there are many reasons for male urethritis, mainly as follows:

1. Men who frequently masturbate, have sex too frequently, smoke and drink frequently, eat spicy food, ride bicycles or horses for a long time, etc., will all lead to a decrease in the resistance of the urethral mucosa and make it easy to get infected.

2. The root cause of urethritis is that pathogenic microorganisms invade the urethra, endangering the health of the male urethra.

3. Damage to the urethral mucosa: Inflammatory damage to the urethral mucosa, such as edema and hyperplasia that has not yet recovered, or local nerve traction, can cause urethritis.

3. Experts from the Men's Hospital pointed out that the causes of urethritis are:

1. Latent infection of pathogens: After urethritis caused by some microorganisms is treated with antibiotics, the bacteria will enter a latent infection state due to the defects of drug efficacy and therapy. Factors such as drinking, fatigue, and mental stress may induce the reproduction of latent pathogens, resulting in symptoms, that is, recurrence of urethritis.

2. Drug resistance: Due to the irregular treatment of urethritis in the early stage, blind use of drugs, destruction of the internal environment, and bacterial resistance, the treatment effect is poor and the condition fluctuates, leading to persistent urethritis.

3. Decreased immunity: Some patients with urethritis have low immunity. If they have diabetes, tumors, liver disease, malnutrition or other chronic diseases, it will also cause many difficulties in the treatment of urethritis.

4. Influence of complications: If urethritis recurs and long-term inflammatory damage occurs, the urinary tract mucosa, renal pelvis and calyces will be damaged, fibrotic, and deformed. Urinary tract obstruction and deformity will affect normal urine drainage and treatment, which will affect the treatment of urethritis, making traditional drug treatment ineffective and more difficult to treat.

5. Hidden bacteria: Since the pathogens are hidden deep in the tissues and lurk in the urethral crypts, paraurethral glands and other parts, it is difficult for drugs to kill them completely, leaving problems for recovery. At the same time, acute urethritis may be accompanied by prostatitis. After urethritis is treated, it may still recur due to infection from the prostate.

6. Infection in deep parts: If the pathogens are hidden in the deep layers of the tissue, or lurking in the urethral crypts, paraurethral glands and other parts, it will be difficult to carry out comprehensive treatment during drug treatment, which will usually leave consequences. In addition, acute urethritis may be accompanied by prostatitis. After urethritis is cured, the disease may recur due to prostate infection.

7. After antibiotic treatment, some urethritis caused by microorganisms will enter a latent infection state due to the defects of drug efficacy and therapy. Under the influence of factors such as drinking, fatigue, and mental stress, the latent pathogens may multiply and cause recurrence of urethritis.
