Will renal hamartoma continue to grow?

Renal hamartoma, as the name implies, is a dislocated, heterogeneous tumor with degenerated tissue structure, abnormal arrangement, and abnormal proliferation. Renal hamartoma grows in the kidneys. It is a benign tumor and is relatively easy to cure. Most renal hamartomas do not continue to grow. As long as the patient follows the doctor's advice and receives timely treatment after the disease is discovered, he or she can recover.

Renal hamartoma is a very common tumor disease. The cause of this disease is not very clear, but it is a benign tumor. Usually, many patients do not have obvious symptoms during clinical examinations, and some patients may experience local swelling, pain, hematuria, etc. So, will renal hamartoma continue to grow?

Renal hamartomas generally do not continue to grow:

A renal hamartoma is a benign kidney tumor that is made up of a mixture of fat, blood vessels, muscle, and other components of the kidney. Most renal hamartomas are composed primarily of fat, so they do not keep growing.

Renal hamartoma is a typical kidney tumor that grows slowly and generally does not infiltrate surrounding tissues. Although the tumor grows slowly, after reaching a certain stage, some renal hamartomas may stop growing, not cause any discomfort, and remain in harmony with the body. Most patients do not need to worry too much about the growth of renal hamartomas.

After suffering from renal hamartoma, it usually cannot shrink on its own, but it may no longer grow or grow very slowly. As long as the tumor does not grow further and the patient does not have corresponding clinical symptoms such as back pain, backache, bleeding, etc., ordinary observation can be continued without special treatment.

Although renal hamartomas will not increase in size, if they compress surrounding tissues and cause inflammatory symptoms, nephrectomy should be considered. If renal hamartomas cause acute bleeding, surgical intervention is required. Minimally invasive interventional treatments, such as renal vascular embolization, should be considered to avoid excessive bleeding.

Renal hamartomas are generally stable and will not continue to grow in most cases. For renal hamartomas that have stopped growing, patients should not take it lightly and must take protective measures. Since renal hamartomas are prone to rupture and bleeding when they grow to a certain size, do not squeeze the kidneys and reduce strenuous exercise to prevent tumor rupture and bleeding.
