What causes black spots on fingernails

Black spots on the fingernails are generally called black spots on the fingernails. This phenomenon can also be said to be a sign of disease. Many people want to know what causes black spots on fingernails. Generally speaking, black spots on fingernails are most likely caused by vitamin deficiency in the body.

1. Darkening of the nails and broken spots under the nails indicate infection-induced myocarditis (serious heart infection), other heart diseases, or bleeding disorders. Dark nails and/or thin, flat, spoon-shaped nails are signs of vitamin B12 deficiency or anemia. (Nails may also turn black or gray if hands come into contact with detergents or allergens). Half-white nails with black spots on the fingertips may indicate kidney disease.

2. When black spots appear on the nails, it is a sign of blood circulation disorder in the brain. Generally speaking, spots on the right hand nails indicate problems with the left brain, and spots on the left hand nails indicate problems with the right brain. Therefore, people who often have black spots on their nails should prevent the occurrence of brain diseases.

3. A small black spot found on the nail is usually formed by the oxidation and blackening of the hemorrhage under the nail. It will move toward the fingertip as the nail grows and eventually fade away. If it occurs on multiple fingers or in multiple places, you need to be alert to the occurrence of purpura. Further blood tests should be done, and attention should be paid to whether there are similar conditions in other parts of the body, and timely medical attention should be sought.

4. Nails are made up of keratin, which is a dead cell. They continue to grow because they are constantly squeezed out by the living cells of the nail bed. Nails are like a miniature of the body and can reflect your health. Normal people's nails are generally smooth, pink, and translucent arc-shaped. It may also be congestion, which is usually caused by squeezing and friction that causes bleeding in the cerebral capillaries.
