What causes uneven nails?

Nails are the last part of the human body. Many people tend to ignore them because they do not seem to have any special function. However, the health of the human body can be easily identified from the appearance of the nails. Therefore, studying the shape and color of the nails can have a certain guiding role in health. So, why are the nails uneven?

1. Concave, flat or spoon-shaped nails: This is related to iron deficiency anemia, syphilis, thyroid disease, and rheumatic fever.

Lindsay nails (also called two-tone nails): The half close to the tip of the nail is pink or brown, while the half close to the cuticle is white. These nails may be a sign of chronic renal failure.

2. There are parallel deep grooves on the nails: This is caused by malnutrition or any serious disease that temporarily prevents nail growth, such as measles, epidemic parotitis, heart disease and carpal tunnel syndrome.

3. Most of the skin under the nails is white, and the normal pink area at the fingertips is reduced and becomes band-shaped: This type of nail may indicate cirrhosis of the liver.

4. Nail production slows down, nails become thicker, harder, and yellow or yellow-green: causes include chronic respiratory, thyroid or lymph gland diseases. Slowed nail production is a chronic respiratory disease. Most psoriasis patients have these irregular, deeply pitted nails.

5. Irregular and deep nails: The deep grooves in the nails look like brass products hammered with a hammer. Most psoriasis patients have these irregular, deeply pitted nails.

6. There are horizontal lines on the nails: In addition to vertical lines, horizontal lines sometimes also appear on the nails. These horizontal lines are telling you that you are already sick. That is to say, when there are horizontal lines on your nails, you must have suffered from disease in your body, but you just haven't felt it yet. When the horizontal lines first grow out, they are at the bottom. As the nails grow, they will move upwards, which means that the disease is gradually developing.
