Breast cancer seriously threatens the physical and mental health of female friends and brings great troubles to the body and mind of female patients. Breast cancer is mostly treated by surgery. The nursing work of breast cancer patients after treatment is also very important.

1. Strengthen psychological care

Since breast cancer surgery affects the patient's body shape, most patients are extremely depressed, irritable, inferior, and even lack confidence in treatment. In addition to actively communicating with patients and gaining their full trust, nurses should also try to adopt the most acceptable implementation methods for them, make frequent rounds, talk more, introduce the necessity and importance of treatment, and educate patients on the adverse reactions of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and the preventive measures for their complications.

2. Closely observe changes in the condition

The patient underwent surgery under continuous epidural anesthesia and intravenous combined anesthesia. After the operation, the patient should be placed in a supine position and blood pressure, pulse, and respiration should be closely monitored. After the patient is awake and vital signs are stable, the patient should be placed in a semi-recumbent position to facilitate breathing and drainage, and to avoid or reduce edema of the limb on the operated side. Observe whether the wound dressing is dry. In the early stage, local negative pressure suction or chest bandage and sandbag pressure should be used to help the skin graft adhere to avoid subcutaneous blood and fluid accumulation.

3. Prevent edema and dysfunction of the operated limb

Avoid puncturing the upper limb of the operated side and raise it appropriately. Start to help the patient move his upper limbs 3 days after surgery, starting from the elbow and gradually extending to the shoulder. Exercise methods include feeding yourself, combing your hair, washing your face, and climbing the wall with your fingers to promote blood circulation in your limbs.
