How does myopia develop?

The occurrence of myopia is often caused by bad habits. For example, children do not pay attention to the correct use of eyes and correct posture when reading books, using mobile phones, or looking at computers, which can easily lead to myopia. Myopia is also related to genetic factors.

1. Excessive use of eyes: If the number of myopic patients who spend 2 hours of extracurricular reading in the age group of 12 to 18 years old is taken as the benchmark, the number of myopic patients who spend 3 hours of extracurricular reading is 2.1 times that of the patients. This shows that excessive use of eyes is the main cause of myopia. At this time, if you use nutritious eye drops in time, because of its nutritional, lubricating, antibacterial and antipruritic effects, it can activate the tired ciliary muscles, effectively relieve visual fatigue and prevent the formation of myopia.

2. Certain diseases can also cause myopia by changing the refractive power of the lens or cornea, so protective measures should be taken early to prevent the occurrence of eye diseases.

3. Congenital genetic factors: Studies have shown that in families where both parents are highly myopic, the next generation of children has a higher incidence of myopia. It is generally recognized that myopia has a certain genetic tendency, especially for high myopia. But the genetic tendency for general myopia is not very obvious.

4. Improper diet: The eyes lack one or some important nutrients during growth and development, which makes the eye tissue more fragile. Under the influence of environmental factors, the sclera of the eye wall is prone to expand, thereby lengthening the anterior-posterior axis of the eye and causing myopia. Eating less sugar and more high-quality protein foods and coarse grains such as milk, eggs, milk, fish, meat, chicken, etc. can help prevent myopia.
