How to treat yellowing of the whites of the eyes?

Some people in real life have yellow whites of their eyes, which is a typical symptom of jaundice hepatitis. In addition to liver disease, some other factors can cause yellowing of the whites of the eyes. For example, regular consumption of oranges and carrots rich in carotene can cause yellowing of the whites of the eyes. So, how to treat if the white of the eye is always yellow?

1. What causes yellowing of the white of the eye?

1. Improper diet: Eating foods rich in carotene or taking colored medicines can also cause yellow eyes. At this time, adjusting the diet can restore the condition.

2. Rubbing your eyes: There may be a lot of wind and sand in your daily living environment, and your eyes may be relatively large or your eyelashes may be relatively short, so there are more chances of sand and dust blowing into your eyes. At the same time, you spend a long time in front of the computer every day. These two factors cause you to rub your eyes frequently. Avoid rubbing your eyes at this time. After a while, the yellowing of your eyes will disappear.

3. Hepatobiliary disease: Yellowing of the eyes is commonly known as jaundice. Yellowing of the sclera (commonly known as the white of the eye) usually occurs when there is liver and gallbladder disease, which is more common in icteric hepatitis or cholestatic hepatitis. There are two main causes of jaundice. One is hepatocellular jaundice, which is caused by liver cell necrosis; the other is obstructive jaundice, which is caused by bile duct obstruction. Yellow eyes are just an external manifestation of the disease. As the saying goes, we should cure the disease at its root. If you cure the liver disease, the yellow eyes will naturally disappear.

2. How to treat yellowing of the whites of the eyes?

1. Get enough sleep.

2. Eat more animal liver and kidneys, drink milk, fish, kelp and other foods that are good for the eyes.

3. Go to the hospital for a thorough examination and treatment.

4. The four pillars of health: a happy mood, balanced nutrition, moderate exercise, smoking cessation and alcohol restriction. If you can truly achieve these four, you can easily live to be a hundred years old.

3. Daily eye protection methods

1. Washing your eyes with salt water can prevent keratitis. Washing your eyes with salt water can prevent keratitis. The cornea is located in the front part of the "black eyeball" and is colorless and transparent under normal circumstances. Most cases of keratitis are caused by poor eye hygiene.

2. Wash your eyes frequently with a sterilized cotton swab dipped in a clean 1:100 bamboo salt solution, once a day. After washing, just wipe the bamboo salt water around your eye sockets. Wash your eyes in the morning for better results. It should be noted that the prepared bamboo salt water can only be used once, and multiple people cannot use the bamboo salt water in the same container. This method has long been recorded in "Compendium of Materia Medica" and "Shennong's Classic of Pharmacy". It not only has a preventive effect on keratitis, but also on other eye diseases.

3. The correct way to use eye drops is to gently lift the lower eyelid, drop the medicine into the lower conjunctival sac, and then drop it at the corner of the eye, avoid dropping it directly into the pupil, close your eyes for a few seconds, and lightly press the inner corner of the eye after dropping the medicine to prevent the eye drops from flowing into the throat through the nasolacrimal duct and irritating the gastrointestinal tract and causing adverse reactions.

4. Wash your face frequently, including your eyelids. Don't stay in an environment with turbid air (or underwater) for too long. If your eyes feel uncomfortable, you should use eye drops, and the dosage should be prescribed by your doctor. Generally, instilling 0.5 ml of chloramphenicol eye drops in one eye can achieve a protective effect.

5. Use your eyes properly. Read no more than 8 hours a day (stand straight, 40CM away from the book and eyes), watch TV no more than 6 hours a day (stand straight, 5M away from the TV), and surf the Internet no more than 4 hours (stand straight, 60CM away from the computer screen). In other words, use your eyes properly and do not let your eyes get tired.
