How to treat auditory hallucinations?

Many people may not pay much attention to auditory hallucination, but in fact it is also a disease. If it is not effectively improved and solved, it will have a great impact on the patient's life. The treatment of auditory hallucination should focus on emotional regulation. At the same time, it can be appropriately combined with some exercises and improved through massage.

1. Regulate emotions to treat auditory hallucinations

If you are under too much pressure, you might as well slow down your life, stop making over-plans for yourself, and stop filling your time. Take some leisure time from your busy work to eat, sleep, take a walk, meet friends, spend time with your family, or watch the sunset, drink tea and listen to music.

Listen to soothing music to help relieve fatigue and relax your mind.

Activities such as pottery and cross-stitch can calm the body and mind.

If the environment is too irritating to the patient, it is recommended to avoid the irritating environment and undergo "desensitization treatment."

Create a good family environment. Inform the patient's family members of the patient's condition, treatment principles and methods, prognosis, etc., and ask them to cooperate with the treatment with sympathy, consideration, patience and kindness, and adopt appropriate and gentle methods to deal with interpersonal problems between the patient and his family members.

In short, maintain a good and peaceful attitude, tell yourself that nothing will happen no matter what, improve your psychological endurance, and peace of mind will bring blessings.

2. Appropriate exercise to treat auditory hallucinations

When you feel surrounded by troubles, you might as well go for an outing outdoors, take a walk, or do some sports within your ability, such as brisk walking, jogging, strolling, shuttlecock kicking, badminton, etc., and persist for 1-2 hours to relieve your gloomy mood.

Proper exercise can fully mobilize the human body's potential and activate body cells. When the body is relaxed, the mind will slowly relax as well, and the emotions will naturally be relieved to a certain extent.

Exercising in the morning, in particular, is beneficial for fostering a good mood. For example, many patients with depression are slow in movement, sloppy, and lazy. If this continues for a long time, it will seriously damage their body functions and aggravate negative emotions. By exercising in the morning, you can gradually change your lazy habits.

If you have too many negative emotions, force yourself to go out, spend more time with friends, participate in social activities or go traveling. Although you will feel painful at the beginning, as long as you persist for a period of time, the negative emotions will slowly be dissolved by the external environment and your self-confidence will be rekindled.

3. Massage therapy to treat auditory hallucinations

By stimulating the ears, blood circulation in the ears is promoted, meridians are dredged, and corresponding nerve functions are improved.

Massage the auricle. Use your thumb and index finger to massage the auricle up and down until it becomes congested and warm.

Pull up the auricle. Use your right hand to reach around your head and pull the upper edge of your left auricle upwards 20 times. Then use your left hand to pull the right auricle 20 times in the same way.

Pull down your earlobes. Use the thumbs and index fingers of both hands to pinch the earlobes and pull them down, starting with light and then increasing to heavy, 15 to 20 times each time.

Push Morgan. Place your index finger in front of your ear and your thumb behind your ear, and massage along the base of the ear from bottom to top, 40 to 50 times each time. After pushing, you will feel your ears getting hot, and your face and head will also feel hot.

Auditory hallucinations caused by schizophrenia can be treated with acupuncture based on syndrome differentiation or symptomatic acupoint selection. For patients with excess syndrome, acupoints such as Ermen, Tinghui, Hegu, Taichong, Daling, Shangwan, Zhongwan, and Zusanli can be selected; for patients with deficiency syndrome, acupoints such as Dazhui, Sanyinjiao, and Yifeng can be selected. If acupuncture is not an option, massage may be an option.
