How does traditional Chinese medicine treat acute ulcerative colitis?

Basic formula for the acute phase: 15 grams of Pulsatilla striata, 15 grams of Qinpi, 20 grams of Pueraria lobata, 10 grams of Sophora japonica, 10 grams of Platycladus orientalis, 10 grams of Prunus mume, 10 grams of Schisandra chinensis, 10 grams of Bupleurum chinense, 10 grams of Citrus aurantium, and 10 grams of Corydalis yanhusuo. Add or subtract according to symptoms.
