What are the symptoms of lung disease?

The lungs are an important organ of the respiratory system in our body. If there is a disease in the lungs, it will have a direct impact on breathing. Therefore, if there is a disease in the lungs, the patient will experience hoarseness, persistent cough, chest pain, etc. Such abnormal conditions must attract everyone's attention, and we must protect our lungs in life.

1. Hoarseness

If you have lung cancer, if the tumor invades the left side of the mediastinum and compresses the recurrent laryngeal nerve, hoarseness will occur, but there is usually no sore throat or other symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection.

2. Persistent cough

Most lung cancer patients experience a cough that sometimes contains blood. If a cough persists for more than a month, a detailed examination is needed to rule out lung cancer.

3. Swelling of the neck and face

This is because if a lung tumor begins to compress the superior vena cava, the patient's neck and face will swell, and the arms and upper chest cavity may also be affected.

4. Chest pain

When the patient's chest is very painful, we need to pay attention to whether it is lung cancer. This is because cancer cells invade our nerves. It usually starts as dull pain or dull pain, which is more obvious at night.

5. Weak hip muscles

Lung cancer affects both organs and muscles. The first muscles to be affected are the hips, and patients may find it difficult to even stand up from a chair.

In addition, weakness in the shoulder, arm, and leg muscles is also a typical symptom.
