Scaly dermatosis is a relatively common skin disease. This disease is relatively stubborn and is mainly caused by genetic reasons. It is also called snake skin tinea in traditional Chinese medicine. It often occurs on the patient's limbs and trunk, often making the skin abnormally dry and rough, and forming scales that resemble fish scales and snake skin. It is mainly divided into congenital ichthyosis, lamellar ichthyosis, etc. 1 Congenital ichthyosis-like erythroderma In severe cases, the hands and feet become claw-shaped; inheritance is autosomal dominant. At birth, the whole body is covered with armor-like multi-layered scales, which fall off to form a rough and moist surface, and may have loose large cells; 2-layered ichthyosis Hyperkeratosis of the palms and soles, excessive growth of nails and hair; 3.2/3 of the patients had ectropion. After birth, the baby's entire body is tightly wrapped in a layer of extensive collodion-like membrane, which falls off after a few days, and the skin becomes widely flushed with large, polygonal scales, which are adherent in the center and free at the edges; 3. Dominant ichthyosis vulgaris The skin is dry and covered with off-white to light brown diamond-shaped or polygonal scales, which are raised at the edges and close to the skin in the center; mainly distributed on the extensor side of the limbs and the back; the disease occurs between 3 months and 5 years old after birth; 4 Sex-linked ichthyosis vulgaris The skin is dry, thick, and covered with large, dark brown scales, which are more severe in winter and less severe in summer. The damage remains the same or even worsens with age; the disease occurs within 3 months after birth and only males are affected. The skin lesions are distributed all over the body, with the head, face, sides, front of the ears, and neck being the most severely affected. The flexor side is often involved. Ichthyosis is called snake skin ringworm in traditional Chinese medicine. The main manifestations are dry and rough skin on the extensor side of the limbs or trunk, accompanied by diamond-shaped or polygonal scales, which look like fish scales or snake skin. Due to different inheritance patterns, it can be divided into autosomal dominant ichthyosis vulgaris, sex-linked ichthyosis vulgaris, congenital ichthyosis-like erythroderma and lamellar ichthyosis. |
