How to relieve a red and swollen throat?

When my throat becomes red and swollen, I actually feel very uncomfortable and don’t want to talk, so it does affect my life. The reason for a red and swollen throat is mostly due to heat in the body, so friends can use warm salt water to gargle, drink honey lemon water, suck garlic cloves, etc. These adjustment methods actually have good therapeutic effects.

1. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water

Several studies have shown that salt helps kill bacteria and fight infection, and gargling with salt water can relieve swelling in the throat and flush out mucus in the mouth, which can help relieve sore throats. Experts recommend: Add 1 teaspoon of salt to half a cup of warm water and gargle for 30 seconds each time.

4. Sucking garlic cloves

The allicin in garlic helps kill viruses and bacteria. Sucking on a cut garlic clove can help prevent infection and relieve a sore throat. When you feel your throat is itchy, you can immediately put a clove of garlic in your mouth and suck it for 5 to 10 minutes.
