Swimming pool disinfection

Swimming pool disinfection

In life, many people like swimming very much, but when they go swimming, they tend to dislike the crowded swimming pool. If you build a swimming pool at home, it will cost a lot of money, which requires strict consideration of the disinfection of the swimming pool. Swimming pool disinfection can not only prevent the spread of some bacterial diseases, but also make people feel comfortable when swimming. So how to disinfect the swimming pool?

1. Algaecide/Algae Inhibition

Add copper sulfate at a rate of 2g-3g per cubic meter of water (i.e. 2-3kg per 1000 cubic meters of water). Double the amount if new water is being treated. 1-2 times a month (If the following operations are performed, perform the following steps 2 hours later)

2. Sterilization/Disinfection

Use swimming pool disinfectants (such as swimming pool disinfectant powder or swimming pool disinfectant tablets) for disinfection every day. Add 2g per cubic meter of pool water (i.e. 2kg per 1000 cubic meters). It is best to add the drug 1-2 hours before opening. Carry out a surprise treatment once a week (i.e. double the amount of disinfectant, preferably after the swimming pool closes that night).

3. Adjust pH value

Use pH regulator (sodium hydroxide) to adjust the pH value of swimming pool water, ideally keeping it between 7.2-7.8. (Generally, when using swimming pool disinfectant powder or swimming pool disinfectant tablets to disinfect water, the pH value of the water will decrease, so a regulator to increase the pH value is generally used). For every 1 degree increase in pH value, add 10g per cubic meter of pool water.

4. Add clarifier to purify water

Too much suspended matter in the swimming pool water will make the water turbid. At this time, you need to use a clarifier to purify the water. Add it once a week, 1 kg for every 1,600 cubic meters of water. After adding, increase the circulating water volume so that alum flowers appear in the water and let it stand for 6-8 hours (this step is usually done at night). The next day, you can see a layer of yellow sediment at the bottom of the swimming pool, and the water has become clear, so you can start sucking out the sewage.

5. Suction of pollutants

Use a special suction tool for swimming pools to suck out the dirt. Pay attention to the advancement speed of the suction head (disc) when sucking out the dirt. If it is too fast, the dirt that sinks to the bottom of the pool will not be sucked out completely.
