Puncture biopsy is a common method for tumor diagnosis and examination, among which lung puncture biopsy is also relatively common. It is mainly to make a good diagnosis of lung cells. When performing a biopsy, you must understand some precautions. Generally speaking, puncture biopsy is relatively simple and safer, so patients should maintain a good attitude, especially after returning home after the puncture, try not to cough, and if you have any discomfort, you should be hospitalized for examination in time. 1. What preparations are needed before a biopsy? Before the puncture biopsy, you first need to communicate with the patient face to face, explain to him in detail what kind of operation puncture biopsy is and what problems he will face, so as to reduce the patient's psychological burden. If the patient still appears to be very anxious or overly worried, we will give him some sedatives and analgesics during the operation, hoping that he will cooperate with our operation as much as possible. 2. How is a puncture biopsy performed? The puncture process is carried out in steps. Before each step, the doctor will tell the patient what to do next and any possible discomfort, and only proceed to the next step after obtaining the patient's cooperation, thus puncturing into the tumor tissue step by step. Of course, anesthesia will be given during the puncture, so the patient will not feel much pain. 3. Does a biopsy require hospitalization? From a technical point of view, some patients can complete the puncture biopsy in an outpatient clinic because the operation is relatively simple and safe. For some elderly patients with underlying diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes, it may be safer to undergo a puncture biopsy after hospitalization. 4. How long does a biopsy take? The puncture operation usually takes only thirty to forty minutes, and it is a relatively short surgical operation. After the operation, the specimen will be sent to the pathology department for pathological testing. The patient's testing requirements are different and the waiting time is also different. 5. During the puncture process, are there any complications besides bleeding? Bleeding is the most common problem encountered in all trauma examinations. In addition to bleeding, the most common complication of lung puncture is pneumothorax. The exhaust function will be impaired and the air leakage in the chest cavity will become more and more serious. When pneumothorax occurs, it is important to see whether the amount of gas entering the chest cavity is large. If it is large, the volume of the lung tissue will be compressed to a very small size, and the lungs will lose the function of exchanging oxygen. The patient will experience shortness of breath, and this situation needs to be treated. In addition, there are pain-related complications caused by patients' intolerance to pain. Some patients are very sensitive and feel unbearable pain even with local anesthetics. Because pain may cause other problems, such patients will not cooperate well. 6. What should patients pay attention to after returning home? The postoperative precautions will clearly state that the patient should try not to cough within a few days. If the throat itches and you want to cough, you can take some cough suppressants. After such patients have explained everything to him in advance, if they feel uncomfortable when they return home, such as sudden shortness of breath, they can go to the hospital in time for treatment, and the disease will basically not be delayed. |
