People's survival is inseparable from breathing. During the breathing process, oxygen needs to enter people's bronchi, so that a complete breath is completed. However, if the bronchi are blocked, breathing will become very uncomfortable, or even impossible to breathe normally. At this time, emergency measures must be taken to deal with it, otherwise you will be in a state of hypoxia. If the bronchi are blocked by foreign objects, you need to pay more attention. This is a very dangerous situation. If you are not careful, it will cause brain hypoxia or even brain death. Then you must go to the hospital for emergency treatment in time to remove the foreign body, so as to alleviate the specific symptoms. 1. Emergency self-help for acute respiratory foreign body obstruction When acute respiratory tract foreign body obstruction occurs, the situation is extremely urgent, especially if the respiratory tract is completely blocked, the patient's life is in immediate danger. At this point, it is too late to find someone or call for help. The people on the scene can only take decisive measures and do it themselves to remove the foreign body in the airway, relieve the symptoms of respiratory irritation and keep the airway open. If you master the self-rescue methods, you don’t need to call an ambulance. You can rescue the patient yourself and send him to the hospital at the same time. Never go to the hospital without emergency treatment, as the most terrible consequences will occur. In addition to calling 120 immediately, the following measures should be taken immediately according to the patient's specific situation:
(1) When the respiratory tract is blocked by liquid, for patients with liquid blockage (severe hemoptysis, severe hematemesis), postural drainage should be adopted as soon as possible to put the patient into a stable lateral position (also known as the recovery position) commonly used in coma, and ask the conscious patient to cough gently to relieve the liquid blockage in the respiratory tract through drainage. (2) When a foreign object is stuck in the throat, the patient should quickly clear out food and other objects in the mouth and throat. If the patient has dentures, remove them first. The rescuer inserts the middle finger of one hand (the little finger for children) into the corner of the patient's mouth with the palm facing the patient's mouth, and extends it along the side cheek to the patient's throat. Then, the finger is hooked to hook out the foreign object stuck in the throat, or the foreign object is clamped out with tweezers. This operation can be repeated until the airway obstruction is relieved. Be careful not to push foreign objects deep into the throat or into the trachea. |
