And you should have regular dental check-ups to ensure your oral health.

1. Symptoms of white spots

(1) Plaque-like: White or grayish white homogeneous hard plaques appear in the oral cavity, which are flat or slightly higher than the mucosal surface, not rough or slightly rough, and may be asymptomatic or cause mild discomfort. The plaques may also be milky white, with a raised surface, nodular, granular or papillary, very rough or cracked, hard to the touch, and uncomfortable.

(2) Granular: Also known as granular-nodular leukoplakia, it is more common in the mucosa of the corners of the mouth. On the congested mucosa, white lesions appear as granular protrusions with an uneven surface, and may have small flakes or punctate erosions, which are irritating and painful.

(3) Wrinkled paper-like: mostly found at the floor of the mouth and the tongue. The surface is rough, the boundaries are clear, and the surrounding mucosa is normal. The white spots are grayish white. In addition to the rough and uncomfortable feeling, the patient has no subjective symptoms at the beginning, but may also have symptoms such as irritating pain.

(4) Wart-like: The lesions are milky white, thick and raised, with thorn-like protrusions on the surface, rough and slightly hard. Wart-like lesions often occur on the alveolar ridge, lips, palate, floor of mouth, etc.

(5) Ulcerative: There is erosion or ulceration on the thickened white plaque, with a history of recurrent attacks and pain.

2. One of the reasons for white spots on teeth: calcium deficiency

The following are calcium-supplementing foods: Half a pound of milk contains 300 mg of calcium, as well as a variety of amino acids, lactic acid, minerals and vitamins, which promote calcium digestion and absorption. Moreover, the calcium in milk is easier for the human body to absorb, so milk should be the main food for daily calcium supplementation. Other dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, and milk tablets are good sources of calcium.

3. One of the reasons for white spots on teeth: tooth demineralization

The loss of minerals in the mouth is called demineralization. This is a manifestation of tooth demineralization. Severe demineralization will cause teeth to suffer from caries. White spots are generally the manifestation before caries. As for the reason, it is because your teeth are not cleaned properly and there is dental plaque on them. Then the acid secreted by the bacteria in the plaque demineralizes the teeth. It can be said that if it continues to develop, it will be tooth decay.

4. Treatment of white spots on teeth

Insist on brushing your teeth with toothpaste containing F; reduce the frequency of eating sticky and sour things; you can go to the hospital to apply F-containing medicine for remineralization treatment; don't eat too many things that are easy to cause pigmentation, such as tea and cigarettes.
