What harm does repeated stone crushing do to the body

Stones are a problem that troubles many people. Clinically, there are many types of stones, and stones may occur in many parts of the body. There are many ways to treat stones. If not treated in time, other complications may be induced. Lithotripsy is a common method for treating stones, and the lithotripsy methods vary depending on the stone condition. What harm does so many stone crushings do to the body?

1. Rupture

Due to the high impact force of extracorporeal lithotripsy, micro-trauma of internal organs, hematuria, renal colic and urinary tract obstruction may easily occur, and edema of surrounding tissues may also be caused. Therefore, in principle, the stone crushing in the same place should not exceed three times, the electric shock and vibration should not be done continuously, and the time intervals should not be too close. Patients should try to reduce the number of lithotripsy procedures, as the harmfulness will increase with the number of lithotripsy procedures. It will also form scars in the kidneys, and in severe cases, acute renal failure and renal rupture may occur, leading to nephrectomy.

2. Bleeding

During the lithotripsy process, local mucosal damage at the impact site is inevitable, and it can also cause edema, arcuate vein or peritubular microvascular bleeding, and tubular necrosis at the impact site. Intrarenal and subcapsular bleeding may occur in some cases. In the long term, lithotripsy may lead to increased blood pressure, which is caused by activation of the renin system in the short term and may be caused by vascular interstitial fibrosis in the long term.

3. Note

Many hospitals now offer "stone-dissolving factor therapy" for stone-prone constitutions. It is based on lithotripsy and lithotripsy, with the purpose of stone removal and prevention. It uses dissolution, crushing, clearing and prevention to treat stones in a comprehensive and systematic manner, and adopts different treatment plans based on the different constitutions of each patient. The treatment is tracked throughout the process, and the treatment plan is adjusted at any time according to changes in the patient's condition, ultimately achieving the therapeutic effect of improving the patient's stone-prone constitution and enhancing the body's immune function.
