What’s wrong with my lower back pain and weak legs?

In our daily life, we can always feel something strange in our body. For example, we will feel weak and powerless when we are tired, and we will feel weak all over before going to sleep. Lower back pain and weak legs are slightly more serious symptoms. This symptom is one of the manifestations that the human body is under great stress. So, what is the cause of lower back pain and weak legs? Let's take a look at the following explanation.

The legs are the main limbs that bear weight, and therefore, they have the largest, longest, and strongest muscles and bones in the human body. They can withstand pressure several times greater than a person's body weight for several hours in a row. The strong muscles allow us to run and jump.

1. Excessive weight puts pressure on the waist and legs. The lower limb muscles account for almost half of the total skeletal muscle mass in the human body. The human body's skeletal muscles are not only important organs of movement, but also the body's largest energy storage and energy consumption "organism". The carbohydrates that people eat are converted into glucose after digestion and absorption. About 80% of them are stored in skeletal muscles in the form of glycogen to meet the needs of human movement. As people age, they have fewer opportunities to participate in physical activities, the energy consumption of the lower limb muscles decreases, and the energy stored in the muscles will be converted into fat, causing the legs and feet to become heavier. If they exercise occasionally, their legs and feet will feel dizzy and weak.

2. Muscle and bone degeneration. The strength of muscles and bones comes from constant exercise. If you do not exercise actively, you can expect to lose 5% of your muscle tissue every decade after your 20s. However, even with active exercise, muscle and bone calcium will be "lost" to varying degrees, and the older you are, the more you lose.

3. Osteoporosis. People with osteoporosis have degeneration of bone microstructure, decreased bone mass, increased bone brittleness and decreased strength, making them prone to fractures. Gong Mingzhi said that osteoporosis can easily lead to fractures in the elderly, and long-term bed rest after fractures can lead to many complications such as lung infections, urinary tract infections, bedsores, etc., which affect the life expectancy and quality of life of the elderly. According to clinical data statistics, one-third of them will die within one year. According to clinical statistics, about one-third of women over 50 will suffer fractures due to osteoporosis. Since there are no obvious early symptoms, osteoporosis is easily ignored.
