Why is the egg yolk bitter? Why is the egg yolk bitter?

Eggs are a common food in our daily life. Eggs are composed of two parts, one is the yolk and the other is the egg white. If you want to supplement protein, you can choose eggs, but sometimes the yolk in the egg will taste bitter. On the one hand, it is because the egg has been left for too long, causing it to deteriorate. On the other hand, it is because the yolk is frozen in the refrigerator. Therefore, when eating eggs, you must choose fresh ones, otherwise it will have a huge impact on your body.

There are two possibilities: one is that your egg yolk may not be cooked yet, because raw eggs will have a slightly bitter taste. Rather, the eggs may have gone bad.

Take the eggs out of the refrigerator and take a closer look. They are not rotten and they do not smell bad. This is because the refrigerator is relatively cool, so you cannot see or smell it. If the eggs have been in the refrigerator for about 10 to 15 days and you cook them right after taking them out, the eggs will be relatively cool and the yolk will most likely be bitter. This is generally because the moisture in the refrigerator has affected the quality of the eggs.

In addition, eggs should be stored in a cool and dry place. Because there are holes in the eggshell, the holes are sealed tightly when not exposed to water. There is no need to worry about dirt or bacteria. Therefore, do not wash the eggs if you are not going to eat them immediately, and do not put them in the refrigerator unless they are very hot. The reasons have been mentioned above.

The reason why boiled eggs taste bitter is that fresh eggs contain higher levels of riboflavin and niacin, so they are a little bitter, but they are harmless to the body. Boiled eggs are one of the most common ways to eat eggs, which is mainly made by boiling the eggs in water. If the eggs are boiled properly, the nutrient absorption rate of the boiled eggs can reach 100%, making them a popular choice for breakfast or nutritious meals.

Boiling eggs may seem simple, but it actually requires a lot of knowledge. If the eggs are not cooked properly, the nutritional value will be destroyed. Wash the fresh eggs, soak them in a pot of water for one minute, and then boil them over low heat. This is to prevent the eggshells from bursting during cooking.

Bring the eggs to a boil over low heat, then simmer over medium heat for 8 minutes. Avoid cooking for too long, otherwise the ferrous ions in the egg yolk will react chemically with the sulfur ions to form a brown precipitate of ferrous sulfide, which will hinder the body's absorption of iron.

The cooked eggs should be taken out and allowed to cool naturally, or placed in boiled water or cold water to cool for half a minute, so that they are easier to peel. To prevent bacterial infection, it should not be placed in tap water.
