What diseases require hormones

There are many types of drugs, one of which is called hormone drugs because they contain a certain amount of hormones. Although taking hormones has certain adverse effects on human health, if it is some special diseases, it is still necessary to use hormone drugs for treatment. Here are some of the more common hormone drugs!

1. Dexamethasone

Indications: Mainly used for various severe allergic diseases, such as severe bronchial asthma, thrombocytopenic purpura, granulocytopenia, exfoliative dermatitis, neurodermatitis, eczema, etc.

Adverse reactions: It may cause local irritation and allergic reactions. Long-term, excessive or frequent use may lead to skin atrophy and capillary dilation. It may also cause rosacea dermatitis and perioral dermatitis, weaken the body's immunity and easily cause secondary infection.

Note: 1. Taking in large amounts may easily cause diabetes and Cushing's syndrome. 2. Long-term use can easily cause psychiatric symptoms and mental illness. It is best not to use it if you have a history of amnesia or mental illness. 3. Patients with ulcer disease, thrombophlebitis, active pulmonary tuberculosis, and those after intestinal anastomosis should not use or use with caution. 4. For other precautions, please refer to the “Precautions for Use” of this type of drug.

2. Hydrocortisone

Indications: 1. Used for diseases caused by adrenal insufficiency, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic fever, gout, bronchial asthma, etc. 2. Used for allergic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, pruritus, etc. 3. Used for iridocyclitis, keratitis, scleritis, conjunctivitis, etc. 4. Used for neurodermatitis.

Note: 1. Please refer to the “Precautions for Use” for this type of drug. 2. Aerosols should be stored in a cool place, be careful not to expose to heat, impact, exposure to the sun or near fire.

3. Prednisone

Indications: Mainly used for various severe allergic diseases, such as severe bronchial asthma, thrombocytopenic purpura, granulocytopenia, exfoliative dermatitis, neurodermatitis, eczema, etc.

Note: This product needs to be metabolized and activated into prednisone by the liver to be effective, so it is not suitable for patients with severe liver dysfunction. The rest is the same as hydrocortisone.
