Complete boiler descaling formula

In daily life, every household needs to use a pot to cook, and the boiler in your home must be cleaned and disinfected regularly to avoid contamination and harm to health. Boiler cleaning is commonly known as boiler descaling. As the name suggests, it means removing unhealthy items such as food residues and scale from the pot to make food safe. There are also methods to descaling a boiler. Today, the editor has summarized several methods for descaling a boiler.

Boiler descaling agents are divided into AX liquid descaling agents and AX solid descaling agents. AX liquid descaling agents have great sales and are well received by users because of their easy operation and construction and ideal descaling effect!

Scale formation

After the boiler heats the water, part of the water evaporates, and the calcium sulfate (CaSO4, gypsum is calcium sulfate containing water of crystallization) that is originally insoluble precipitates. The originally dissolved calcium bicarbonate (Ca(HCO3)2) and magnesium bicarbonate (Mg(HCO3)2) decompose in heated water, releasing carbon dioxide (CO2), turning into insoluble calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2), which also precipitate and sometimes generate MgCO3, thus forming scale. According to the reasons for its formation and the different states of formation, it can be roughly divided into hard scale and soft scale. The main components of scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide, which can undergo chemical changes with acids. This means that boiler scale can be removed with acid-containing chemical agents. This compound agent is a boiler descaling agent.

Hazards of scale

Hard scale is usually cemented to the surface of boilers or pipes. First, hard scale has poor thermal conductivity, which will lead to deterioration of heat transfer on the heating surface, thereby wasting fuel or electricity. Secondly, if hard scale is bonded to the inner wall of the boiler, it will greatly increase the risk of boiler cracking or even explosion due to thermal expansion and contraction and uneven force. Thirdly, when hard scale is cemented, a large amount of heavy metal ions are often attached. If the boiler is used to store drinking water, there is a risk of excessive heavy metal ions dissolving in the drinking water. In addition, scale affects human health, easily causing gastrointestinal digestion and absorption disorders and constipation, and increasing the incidence of gastritis and various types of stones. Tartar and periodontitis are often caused by scale and can be fatal.

Descaling necessary

After long-term operation, the boiler will inevitably have problems such as scale and rust. The main reason for the formation of scale in the boiler is that the feed water contains hardness components. After continuous evaporation and concentration under high temperature and high pressure, a series of physical and chemical reactions occur in the furnace, eventually forming hard and dense scale on the heating surface. Scale is the "number one harm" to boilers and the main cause of boiler accidents. Its harmfulness is mainly manifested in: Wasting a lot of fuel: Because the thermal conductivity of scale is only a few tenths of that of steel, when scale forms on the heating surface, heat transfer will be hindered. In order to maintain a certain output of the boiler, the temperature of the fire side must be increased, resulting in heat loss due to outward radiation and smoke exhaust.

Benefits of descaling :

1. The boiler will run without scale, greatly reducing fuel consumption;

2. Reduce boiler cleaning and maintenance costs;

3. Avoid potential safety hazards such as corrosion, bulging, deformation, leakage and even explosion caused by boiler scaling;

4. Greatly extend the service life of the boiler;

5. Avoid losses caused by production stoppage due to boiler cleaning or repair.
