What is the difference between soap powder and laundry detergent?

Soap powder and laundry detergent are both very commonly used cleaning products in life, and the cleaning effects of these two products are very good and have been recognized by most people. Dirt on clothes is what people hate the most. Therefore, how to clean clothes is a headache for many people. Both soap powder and laundry detergent are effective, but there are obvious differences in some aspects. Let’s take a look at the differences between soap powder and laundry detergent.

Different functionality

Soap powder: Soap powder produces less foam when washing clothes because soap powder contains calcium soap dispersant, so it has strong cleaning power and long-lasting fragrance; clothes will be soft and fluffy after washing with soap powder.

Detergent: Washing clothes with detergent will produce a lot of foam, which is not easy to clean. In addition, the clothes are prone to scale, hardening and static electricity after washing.

Skin irritation

Soap powder: low irritation to skin and high safety. It also protects clothes, extends their service life and prevents them from fading after washing, keeping them looking bright and new.

Washing powder: It is best to wear gloves when washing clothes with washing powder. Washing powder has a stronger cleaning power, but it is a chemical synthetic substance so it will hurt your hands.

Rinse well

Soap powder: Because the raw material of soap powder is vegetable oil, soap powder has low foaming and is easy to clean. Even a large dose of soap powder can be easily rinsed clean.

Detergent: Detergent has rich foam and seems easy to rinse clean, but it is not true. If too much detergent is used and the product is not rinsed cleanly, residue will easily remain.

Different raw materials

Soap powder: The active ingredient of soap powder is fatty acid, and the raw material of fatty acid is renewable plant oil. When it is made into a solid, it is soap; when it is sprayed into powder, it is soap powder.

Washing powder: Washing powder is a petroleum-based chemical synthesis. The main ingredient is sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate. Due to its characteristics, it can only be sprayed and granulated.

Clothes and quilts washed with detergent must be rinsed thoroughly with clean water; baby diapers, underwear, and adult underwear should not be washed with detergent (but soap or natural soap powder can be used); detergent should not be used to wash cooking utensils. People who come into contact with laundry detergent for a long time should take necessary protection and try to avoid direct contact with laundry detergent.
